Need to know what your target market wants? Ask them.
Tuesday, November 25th, 2008In this day and age, with the vast amount of options for getting the word out there about your latest product, program or service, it can be a little confusing about marketing and promoting. Well, enough to leave your head spinning?
One of the biggest things you may come up again is…
What do I send out so it is read or listened to?
Who do I send my information to?
See, enough to leave your head spinning yes?
Well, it doesn’t have to be this way.
Let’s take this one step at a time.
First, think about those places that you are hanging out online and offline. Think about the types of people that you already know. Start there and ask questions.
For instance, if you are a member of a forum, ask them what their biggest challenge is with your type of service or product. Read and absorb the feedback. Respond to the feedback. This is the first place to start because it will give you possible blog posts, articles or even teleseminars you can start conducting.
Ask those whom you know questions about what they are looking for and the issues they are having in their business.
Are these problems things you are able and/or wanting to help these people with? If so, find the ways you can help them. Let them know you are there to help them. And if you don’t wish to add these service to your list OR if it is not something you have a strength in, find someone who is reliable and with integrity and give the resource to those in your group or forum.
