Last night, my husband was kidding me, after a few recent experiences of trying out my newfound voice, that it's like I've taken possession of new weapon, and I'm kinda shooting it all over the place! LOL! We were laughing about this imagery, and he thought it was a positive step, but in time I'll have to learn how to use it wisely. He said he'd never thought he'd have to tell me to rein it in a little...

Good stuff to be sure.

Gina,

I would like to first say thank you for voicing your true thoughts and feelings. Good for you...you are allowing your true self to shine and that is a wonderful thing.
When you show your strength of your true self it radiates out to others and they want to be around you more .
There may be resistance by some people, however, most likely those are the ones who need to find their true selves too.
Good luck and please keep me posted.

YES! I am also in this place of re-discovering my voice, as, teetering on the edge of marital upheaval, the consequences are dire if I don't. Recognizing a life-long suppression of who i really am, and what my truth really is is SO scary, yet exhilerating. Fearing that my true voice is going to be a deafening lion's roar... LOL!... well, you know.

But it's funny, I've mastered the art of invisibility for so long.. when I even toy with the idea of standing in my power, like today, people NOTICE me! They smile and go out of their way to talk to me. So unusual for me.. but I love it!

I love this post - and not just cause I'm in it... LOL!!! Seriously - this is one of my favorite topics... standing in our power.

The interesting thing is, every time we stand in our power, we invite more situations into our lives that allow us to use that new found empowerment.

Every moment, we have a choice - stay in the power, or go back to lack and fear mentality.

Sometimes - it's more pronounced than other times.

Standing in your power isn't always easy - but man do you feel so solid, connected and grounded when you do!

Thanks for bringing this up T!
