I have to say, I really do enjoy working on the internet because you never know where you will find some great valuable or just neat information that makes you stop and think for a moment.
Here is how this journey began:
Today I was reading the “tweets” (the small posts on Twitter) and came across this one from Jenn Givler titled, “The best thing about niches I’ve found in a long time”. She talk about a post from her friend Gina and how Gina discusses about even though business owners (she is talking more specifically for healers) would like to be helping everyone with our products or services that it is better to help the amount of people we can successfully help at any given time. Because if we are helping too many, we lose the importance of what the meaning of helping others is….we exhaust ourselves and we begin to fade.
Well, after reading the post, I noticed that Jenn had written another post called “So Many Ideas…So little Time” in which she talks about her conversation with Marcia Francios about organization.
In Jenn’s post she was talking about this great organizational seminar Marcia is having in July called the Virtual Organising Seminar. You need to check it out (here) because she is going to help you organize your office DURING the seminar…how cool is that!
Then while looking at this page I noticed a tab on Marcia’s navigation bar labeled Meet Marcia. I read the beginning of the story and it was nice to know more about her. Then I read something I will be doing on my site today and that is 25 things I never get tired of. Great way to end an about page.
Add a “Things I never get tired of” piece to your website or blog “About Page”.
Last Friday, I had a pleasure of meeting some ladies whom I have communicated with via email however, most of them I haven’t heard their voice.
Well, one of these lovely ladies is Terri, The Pop Art Diva. I heard Terri’s voice last friday at the Boomer Diva Day event and there were a few things I truly enjoyed—
1) The confidence in her voice – She knows who she is and she really likes who she is—Yes, I could hear that over the web conference room
2) The passion in her voice – She enjoys what she does and shares the joy with others – she was talking about her art and showcased her many talents.
Today, Terri, twittered about her post on creativity and how it was featured on The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch!
Terri mentions how those whom are creative have a hard time believing the value of their creativity —the art, music, painting, sculptures, etc.
To me, when you create something from scratch, you have created something unique and special…there is definitely value.
However, if you don’t value yourself, how can you value what you bring to others?
So, I believe it starts with yourself and how you feel about who you are and then it can expand to others around you.
Remember you have great value and thus your creativity and art has value.
I have to tell you, Friday at the Boomer Diva Day was quite a wonderful day. Not only was a surrounded via a web conference room, with friends and support by lovely business women who were online to celebrate and have fun. (We almost sang in unity “Happy Birthday” to Beverly).
We started a bit late due to a few technical difficulties however once the ball got rolling it kept on going!
We started with a vendor presentation with Kathy Porter with Mia Bella Candles – hmmm, smell so great and they are good for the environment because they are made from soy.
